2nd Annual National Ride Day Goals for National Ride Day: To provide a mobile medical unit at the top Amateur Nationals. Realizing that amateurs are the future of the sport, they deserve the same attention as professional athletes while in competition. The onsite medical unit was debuted at Loretta Lynn’s in 2007 and provides treatment from qualified trainers and doctors that have a background in motocross injuries. The unit also serves as a mobile education unit providing information on products that can help prevent injuries. How It Works: Each participant gets pledges for laps ridden at I-5 MX or simply a flat donation. Just go to www.r2rrideday.com and register by building your own web site and setting a goal for yourself. Friends and family will then be able to log on, search for their favorite rider and make a pledge in your name, either on a per lap basis or a flat amount for participating. Minimum pledge per lap is $1.00 with a 10 lap minimum. You must have a minimum of $25.00 in pledges in order to participate. Riders can register and pledges can be made on-line. Great Prizes for a Great Cause:
Grand Prize top rider nationwide with $5,000 or more in pledges will be eligible to win an MX bike.
The Road 2 Recovery, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, is dedicated to helping licensed AMA Professional MX/SX members with financial assistance if they sustain career-ending injuries as well as providing motivational, emotional, and spiritual support to these individuals and their families. |
